Lidia Maston

Lidia R. Maston, age 100, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Tuesday afternoon July 26, 2016 at the Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Lidia was born January 4, 1916 in Lemington Spa, England the daughter of Paul and Alice (Reeves) Romanelli. She enjoyed her work as an executive secretary with both the Detroit Juvenile Court and the Warren Consolidated Schools office of the Superintendent. Lidia also spent many years as the receptionist at the Portage Senior Center. She enjoyed playing cards with her many friends at Crossroads Village and spending time with her family especially the reunions in her later years. On March 2, 1935 she was united in marriage to the love of her life for 62 years, Martin Maston who preceded her in death in 1997. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Paul and Peter. Lidia is survived by her children, Donald (Patricia) Maston, Paul (Susan) Maston, Joan (David) Sable, Robert (Kimberly) Maston; 6 grandchildren, Brian (Caifang) Maston, Julia Sable, Lesley (Matthew) Shabala, Martin (Adrienne) Sable, Nicole (Jose) Garza, Frank Maston; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday at St. Monica Catholic Church. Private family interment was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, MI.
