Leonard Ray McKey, age 86, of Three Rivers, MI and a seasonal resident of Crystal River, FL passed away January 9, 2017. He was born December 23, 1930 in Kalamazoo, MI to the late Max and Ethal McKee. He was an owner of McKee Lines in Mattawan MI Waterand White Freightliner Dealership in Kalamazoo and Waterland Palate Company. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lawton, MI and the Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of Michigan, and a Life Member of the Shriners International Valley of Grand Rapids, MI. He also drove in the motorcycle team for the Shriners for 17 years OES Paw Paw-Lawton, MI. His love of the water took him on many adventures with friends and family. With his captains license he piloted boats from the the Great Lakes to the Caribbean. He was an avid Wheel Horse Tractor Collector for several years. Leonard enjoyed traveling, boating, and trucking always leaving everyone with a laugh or smile. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois (Schultz) McKee, in 2006, and his brothers, John and Keith McKee. He is survived by his wife and fishing buddy, Karen Dougherty; one son, Larry (Pam) McKee of Matawan, MI; daughter, Linda (Roy) Morgan of South Haven, MI; and two sisters, Maxine Burhans and Carman Gustafson; grandchildren, Kurt and Kyle (Bri) McKee, Nicole {Justin} Shaw, Zack, CherRon, Jordyn, Skylar Jones; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Josh, Noah, Austin, Lance and Blaine Morgan, Addison and Logan Haley, Andrew and Nolan Shaw. Arrangements are under the direction of Strickland Funeral Home and Crematory, Crystal River, FL.

Memorial service for Leonard at Kline's Resort, 22460 Klines Resort Road, Three Rivers, MI 49093 at the clubhouse, Sunday, April 30 at 2:00 PM. Everyone who knew him is invited. He's good for one more laugh. Cake and ice cream on behalf of Klines Cares and Shares.
