Leilani Dawn Lemeron

August 4, 1937 - March 6, 2014

A daughter of the late Doyle and Doris (Clark) Allen has been called home to be with her Heavenly Father. She is survived not only by her husband of 57 years, Donald S. Lemeron, but by the work that she was most proud of, her children: Michelle (Michale) Bonner, Kathy Jo (Mike) Price, Steve Lemeron, Dawn S. (Al) Peplinski and Diane (Steve) Denoyer.

Known as "Lani", she met some great friends when she was employed by Chef Pierre, Kmart and McDonald's. Lani enjoyed her T.O.P.S., Red Hat Ladies, reading, playing aggravation, cards or Bingo, watching game shows, but showed her greatest skill as a cheerleader and supporter of her grandchildren: Nicole (Charlie) Stavinoha, Mike Price, Erica and Adam Peplinski, Sydney and Samantha Denoyer.

Lani's smile warmed your heart, which we see in her great granddaughter, Presley Dawn Stavinoha. Her laughter was heard when she watched her fur baby, Bella, run. Her spirit lifted after speaking with her siblings, Eleanor Hozdish and Jean (Garry) Lewis, yet the compassion that her eyes sparkled made everyone feel loved.

Lani missed her sister Barbara and brothers, Jim and Mike plus her friend Virginia Tooley, but she was most sadden at the deaths of her nephew, Jimmy and great nieces Cherilynn and Lorraine.

Lani has attended Central United Methodist Church (222 Cass St.) since she was a young girl, she was married there on Oct 15th and now the family will welcome guests on Wednesday, March 12th at 10:30a with a celebratory ceremony of life beginning at 11:30a.

In lieu of flowers the family would like you to make memorial contributions to a charity of your choice in her honor.

Please visit Lani's webpage at www.lifestorynet.com to sign the guest book and share a message with the family. Life Story Funeral Home, Traverse City assisted the family.
