Lawrence "Larry" E. Hansen

Lawrence “Larry” E. Hansen, age 75, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 at his residence. Larry was born in Racine, December 22, 1941, son of the late James and Ethel (Nee: Udell) Hansen.

Larry was a graduate of Washington Park High School “Class of 1960”. On November 21, 1970 at Prophetstown, IL, he was united in marriage to Deborah A. Yager. Larry was employed by the Racine Journal Times, Gorton Machine Company/ Kearney & Trucker, and retired from Aqua Chem in 1998. He was a longtime member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church. Larry was a drum corps fan who taught Ambassadears and marched with the Boys of “76.” An excellent bowler, Larry advanced to the Nationals thirty years in a row. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed waterskiing, ice boating, golfing, and fishing trips in Canada. Larry also was an avid Packer and Cub fan.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of forty-six years, Debbie; his children, Mark (Ashley) Hansen, Kimberly (Mark) Monson; his grandson, Nikolei; sisters, Janet (Bruce) Anderson, Peggy (Chris) Larson; brother-in-law, Gerry Yager; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his infant brother, James.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 3, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M.
