Crawley, Lavinia M. 11/1/1929 - 2/19/2021 Winter Garden, Florida Lavinia M. Crawley (Fines), affectionately known to friends and family as "Vinnie", passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 19, 2021, in Winter Garden, Florida, at the age of 91. Vinnie was born on November 1, 1929 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada to Elmer and Holmfridur Fines. Vinnie's motherly instincts kicked in at a young age after the untimely death of her parents when she was just a young teen. She and her older sister Christine immediately took over as caretakers for their younger siblings. While Vinnie's early life may not have been easy, she went on to live a life filled with love and adventure. Vinnie married the love of her life, Ken Crawley, on June 10, 1953 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Ken and Vinnie went on to have 4 children and eventually relocated in 1959 from Canada to Portage, Michigan. They made many happy memories raising their family and traveling the world together while Ken served as the International Medical Director of the Upjohn Company. Later in life upon retirement, Ken and Vinnie relocated once again to Sun City Center, Florida. Still pursuing their fondness for travel, they sailed on over 50 cruises all over the world. Vinnie volunteered with the local ambulance company and continued her love of caring for others. She never missed an episode of her favorite soap opera and loved spending time playing cards and games, her favorite being Rummikub, with her numerous friends and family. She was always a gracious host and truly enjoyed entertaining and visiting with the ones she loved. Vinnie was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Holmfridur Fines, husband Kenneth Crawley, brother Richard Fines, sister Dorothy Neilson (Fines) and many close friends. She leaves behind and will be dearly missed by her children, Blair (Kelli) Crawley, David Crawley, Linda (Doug) Notman, Debbie (Steve) Glashower; grandchildren, Jason Glashower, Matthew Glashower, Allison (John) Hare, Ashley (Randy) Lockyear, Staci (David) Hofer, Daniel Notman, David Notman, Michael Notman; great grandchildren London Lockyear, Adler Hofer, Aylah Hofer, Colson Hofer, Aiden Glashower; siblings, Christine (Bill) Cameron, Arlene (Lutz) Sonnenberg; and many nieces, nephews, and family friends.
