Lavelle Monroe

It is with great sadness we have to close the life of our beautiful and vibrant Lavelle Monroe. Lavelle died unexpectedly on September 2, 2018.

He was born on April 28, 1984 to Mary Jane Peet and Murl Monroe Sr. Lavelle touched the lives of so many people with his infectious smile, his humor, and his kind heart. His magnetic personality brought sunshine on a cloudy day to family as well as friends. He had an exceptionally strong relationship with his mother and his brothers Murl Jr. and Eddie. He adored his children JeVelle, Lavesha,and Lariah. Lavelle is survived by his mother Mary Jane Peet, father Murl Monroe Sr., grandparents Ocie Peet Sr. and Eddie Mae Peet; brothers Murl (Jazzmen) Monroe Jr., Eddie (Deanna) Monroe; sisters Toni Peet-Vaughn, Tamika Snow, Rachelle Monroe Swanson, Tawauna Swanigan, Veronica (Terell) Gordon, Murlean Monroe, Matasha Snow; special siblings Dartayious, Kierra, Kahlil, and Tiana; favorite aunt Linda Peet; also a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Eddie Lockridge and Belle Gilliam; special cousin Joaunie Peet.

Visitation will be from 9:00 til 10:45 on Saturday September 15, 2018 with a private funeral and burial following at 11:00 at Maresh Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home.
