Age 86, died January 21, 2016 at Rose Arbor Hospice, Kalamazoo. She was born June 23, 1929 in Traverse City, the daughter of Lawrence and Mamie Taylor. Laurie was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Jo Beardsley in 2008. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Dick Beardsley; 2 children: Sandra (Garret) Timmermans and Richard Beardsley, Jr; granddaughter, Nicole (Josh) Wespinter; 2 great-grandchildren: Emma and Jonah Wespinter; and sister, Virginia Wilson. Cremation will take place and private services are planned.
