Larry Taylor

Larry Carl Taylor, 75, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018. Larry was born January 19, 1943 in Kalamazoo, to the late Roy and Evelyn (Williams) Taylor. Larry was united in marriage to Janice Klein on September 2, 1967 for a loving 50 years together. Larry served in the U.S. Army from 1961 until honorably discharged in 1963. After serving 35 years at General Motors as a millwright, Larry retired to enjoy his time with family. He also served as a reserve Deputy Sheriff for 30 years in Kalamazoo County. His greatest joy was his 3 grandsons. His legacy is in his three loving children. His greatest gift was his loving, devoted wife. He is survived by his wife, Janice Taylor; children, Suzanne Taylor, Randy (Becky) Taylor and Ryan Taylor; grandchildren, Chad Michael, Andrew Laurence and Jakob Randall; siblings, Vera Hawes, Evelyn Williams and Jean (Charles) Almer; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings, Jane Sagers, Bill Buckey, James Taylor, Vivian Wentworth, Alton Taylor and Roy Taylor. The family will greet friends on Friday, March 30th from 2-4 and 6-8PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., and on Saturday from 12-1PM. The service on Saturday will begin at 1:00PM. Interment will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Larry's name may be directed to a charity of your choice.
