Larry H. Bush, age 81, of Kyle, South Dakota passed away in the presence of his family on September 3, 2017. He was born December 30, 1935 to parents Harold and Grace Bush of Kalamazoo, Michigan.Larry served his country in the United States Air Force. During that time, he served in Kunsan, Korea. Larry also served in the United States Army, at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital, in Denver, Colorado.Larry attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo and Kellogg Community College, in Battle Creek Michigan. He earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing at Northern Michigan University, in Marquette Michigan.Larry is survived by his daughters, Sherri (George) Westcott, and Leeta (Hunter) Browne; sons, Paul Bush, and Matthew Bush; his brothers, Ronald Bush, Michael (Jan) Bush, and his sister, Christina Bush.Larry was a Registered Nurse at Lander Valley Medical Center, in Lander, Wyoming for 25 years. As a nurse, Larry cared for not only the patient's body, he cared for the spirit also.During his time of retirement, Larry traveled the country, visiting family and friends. He traveled during his life to Korea, Japan, Guatemala and every state except Alaska.After years of traveling, Larry settled again in Kyle, South Dakota, where he became involved in Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic church as a commissioned lay minister. Larry was faithful in visiting people each week, caring for them as a friend, and spiritually as a lay minister.He was a man who made friends for life, and he had friends who became family. Larry believed in and taught appreciation of nature, life, and loving people, no matter the race or background.
