Was sent home on Wednesday, June 28, 2017. Kim, the daughter of Don and Jean (Beldon) Thompson, was born into this world, immediately making it brighter, on July 2, 1975. Kim was the first of four children. In this role she quickly learned to share with, to help, to teach, and be a caretaker for her three brothers. These traits she carried with her into adulthood, spending much of it serving as a Nursing Home Administrator, a guardian for the community of Allegan, a 4H Leader, and a caretaker for a village of friends. Her selfless nature was contagious and therefore made the lives of all those she came into contact immensely better. Kim continued this legacy of giving even in her passing, giving herself through the Gift of Life. Kim had many friends, her best friend being her mother, whom she spent over an hour on the phone speaking to every night. When Kim had time to herself, she enjoyed shopping, working in her gardens, running the farm, and spending time with all her animals. She was the greatest of role models for so many and a blessing to all whom were fortunate enough to have known her. Kim is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, Patrick; their son, Dakota; her parents, Don and Jean Thompson; three brothers, Ryan and Betty Thompson, Ike Thompson, and Sy and Ashley Thompson; eight nieces and nephews, McKenzie, Ava Jo, Autumn, Forest, Brooke, Maeve, Madeline, and Bryce; and many great-nieces and nephews. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, July 3, 2017 from 10:00 AM 1:00 PM at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, officiated by her brother, Ike. In Kim's memory, the family asks all to please consider signing up to be an organ donor and giving to Wings of Hope Hospice. Interment to follow in Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Township. Luncheon to follow immediately at Hartman Conference Center in Allegan.
