Kenny L. Snyder, age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 7, 2016. He was born June 3, 1954 in Plainwell, MI to Howard A. and Dolores J. (Buffenbarger) Snyder, Jr. He was united in marriage to Cindy Lancaster on September 9, 1977. Together they raised two sons of whom he was tremendously proud. Ken is described as a genuine man who loved his grandchildren, had a close relationship with his boys, and was a faithful champion of his wife. He was a dear friend who was hospitable to the many he entertained in his home. Ken enjoyed traveling to visit friends and family. He particularly loved to watch the Great Lakes Freighters. Ken served his community in many facets. He was formerly a church board elder and was currently a member of the Gracespring Bible Church Choir. Ken spent 42 years as an employee of the Otsego Public Schools. He volunteered 15 years with Alamo Fire Department and he was actively mentoring with the Youth for Christ. We are comforted by the reassurance of John 16:22 that we will be united again. Kenny is survived by his wife, Cindy Snyder; his sons, Caleb (Lisa) Snyder and Luke (Jenna) Snyder; 4 grandchildren, Rowen, Theryn, Collyns and Kinlee; his mother, Dolores Snyder; sisters, Karen (Mike Woizeschke) Harrison and Karla (Joel) Thompson; and several nieces and nephews. Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Howard Snyder, Jr. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, October 11th from 6-8pm at Gracespring Bible Church, 8643 Gull Rd., Richland, MI 49083, where a service to celebrate Kenny's life will be held Wednesday, October 12th at 11:00 am. Pastor Bryan Tema will officiate. The family is being served by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kenny's name may be directed to the family or to Gracespring Bible Church. Langeland Funeral Home
