Kenneth E. Moore

Ken went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday evening, March 2, 2018. He was born on May 22, 1917 in Battle Creek, the son of the late Archie and Edna (Eldridge) Moore, and was a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo area. On May 21, 1940, Ken was married to the former Nina L. Mitchell. He, with his wife, Nina, were faithful, active members of the Kalamazoo Church of God Congregation for seventy years. Surviving are four children: Lois (Robert) Peters of Defiance, OH, Carol (Roland) Gani of Scotts, Bruce (Deborah) Moore of Plainwell and Kenneth L. (Brenda) Moore of Kalamazoo; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his wife of 71 years, Nina Moore; sister: Maxine Larson; and brother: Ronald Moore. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday at Grace Harbor Church (formerly Westwood Church of God), 811 Gorham Ln., with Pastors Bill Ferguson and Gary Ausbun officiating. The family will receive friends on from 1-3 PM on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Grace Harbor Church or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
