Kenneth Bowen

Kenneth F. Bowen, age 22, of Owosso, MI went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, July 14, 2017 following a tragic motorcycle accident. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Nelson-House Funeral Home in Owosso with Pastor Larry Redenower officiating. Burial will follow at Hawkins Cemetery in Corunna. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 18 from 2:00 to 8:00pm. Kenneth was born on June 14, 1995 to Richard and Diane (Salatka) Bowen in Royal Oak. He was homeschooled through high school, was active in the local Christian homeschooling network, and was an Eagle Scout. Kenneth married the love of his life, Abigail J. Burns on May 13, 2017. Kenneth worked as a Customer Service Representative for Covenant Eyes and as a farmhand. He was a member of New Haven Field House Church in Swartz Creek. During his life, Kenneth enjoyed doing anything outdoors from farming to hunting to horseback riding. He was a gifted musician and played the violin, viola, guitar, bass viol, piano, bagpipes, and folk instruments. Kenneth enjoyed taking spontaneous adventures with his friends, going camping, canoeing, kayaking, and on road trips. He was known by many for his contagious laugh, his authentic friendship, and his willingness to help and serve others. He dearly loved his wife, his family, and most of all, his Lord Jesus Christ. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Abigail Bowen; his parents, Richard and Diane Bowen; his brother, Seth Bowen; his parents-in-law, Craig and Jan Burns; and his sisters-in-law, Lacey (Jeyan) Burns-Oorjitham, Charity Burns, Hannah Burns, and Kailey (Seth) Derby.
