Kathryn Latchaw

Was born to Robert S. and Margaret (Russell) Melvin in Plainwell, MI. Living most of her life in Bloomingdale Michigan, she graduated from Bloomingdale High School and later attended KVCC. She worked many years at Parker Pneumatic Division and Industrial Graphics Service from which she retired after 28 years. Surviving is her best friend and husband, Doug, married 21 years; son, John (Jennifer) Keller Jr.; sister, Jayne Brown and family; step-daughter, Tonya (Ben) Finch; four grand-children, two step-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, cousins, special nieces, nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Kathryn was also very blessed to have many "special" dear friends, you know who you are! Kathryn's husband Doug, family, and dear friends are what she cherished most dear to her heart. Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Beth (Keller) Middaugh; grandson, Don Shultz; and brother, Bob Melvin. Special thanks to West Michigan Cancer Center, Dr. Marcia Liepman and Dr. Linda Grosshaim and their staff for the care and compassion shown throughout. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made directly to: WMCC, Kalamazoo, MI or Allegan General Hospital Oncology Dept., Allegan, MI. The following verse reflects Kathryn's legacy she leaves behind; II Timothy 4:7, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith".
