Kathleen M. “Kathy” Ambrose, age 94, passed away Wednesday, September 02, 2015 at Wheaton Franciscan- All Saints Medical Center. She was born in Viola, WI, May 10, 1921 daughter of the late Frank and Ida (Nee: Carroll) Petricek.

On December 7, 1940, Kathy was united in marriage to John Ambrose who preceded her in death April 1993. She was employed by Western Printing for 27 years until her retirement in 1983. Kathy enjoyed socializing, taking long walks, reading Daniel Steel novels, working on search word puzzles and watching the Packers.

She will be dearly missed by her 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Edward (Carolyn) Ambrose; Richard (Kathleen) Ambrose, 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Lorraine Petricek. In addition to her parent’s and husband, she also was preceded in death by her son, John, 6 brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday September 5, 2015, 11:00 a.m.. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Saturday from 9:30 until time of service at 11:00 a.m.

The family extends a special thank you to staffs at Villas at Lincoln Park and Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints Hospital and Hospice for all of their loving and compassionate care.
