Karen Tapovatz of Port Charlotte, FL Karen Ann (Wagner) Tapovatz, 61, of Englewood passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital Port Charlotte, FL while surrounded by her family. Karen was born on June 13, 1956 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Robert G. and Helen M. Wagner, She had resided in Englewood for 17 years after retiring and moving with her husband, Bill from Gull Lake/Richland, MI area.Karen was a graduate from Gull Lake Community Schools, Richland, MI and graduated from Parsons Business School. She owned and operated Wagner Plumbing & Heating Supply Co. in Kalamazoo, MI for over 25 years.She was an avid golfer, great bridge player, enjoyed cooking with her husband, fine dining and dabbling on her iPad/computer. She was a very faithful, caring daughter to her aging parents.Survivors include William E. Tapovatz, her husband of 33 years, her parents; Robert G. nad Helen M. Wagner, her sisters; MarriAnn (John) Marshall, all from Englewood, FL; Susan Widger, Suann Good both from MI. She was predeceased by her brother James Wagner from MI.
