Karen L. Porcaro, age 51, was taken from us too soon, Tuesday, April 25, 2017. She was born in Racine, July 22, 1965, daughter of Harry and Elsie (Nee: Thompson) Orttel.

On November 28, 1987 at Holy Name Catholic Church she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Randal A. Porcaro. For over twenty years Karen owned and operated a cleaning service where she made many long lasting friendships that she cherished. She enjoyed traveling especially to her second home in Arizona, fine dining, a good martini, and attending casinos. More than anything, raising her children and spending time with her family was her greatest joy.

She will be dearly missed by her loving husband of twenty-nine years, Randy; her daughters, Gina Porcaro, Nicole Porcaro; her parents, Elsie Nelson, Harry Orttel; her sisters and brother-in-law, Charlotte Orttel, Barb (Steve) Bulik; her mother-in-law, Josie Porcaro; her sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Barbara (John) Suprak, Tommy Porcaro; her grand dogs, Daisy and Chloe; other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Donald K. Nelson and father-in-law, Earl Porcaro.

A Memorial Service celebrating Karen’s life will be held Friday, May 5, 2017, 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Memorials to the Wisconsin Humane Society Racine Campus have been suggested.
