Karen Kay Horner, 65 of Traverse City, died Friday, December 30, 2016.
She was born on September 15, 1951 in Traverse City the daughter of Charles Donald and Estella E. (Brow) Struble Sr. Karen graduated from Traverse City Senior High School in 1970.
Karen was a nurse aide, previously working for the Grand Traverse County Medical Care Facility and The Maples in Frankfort. She also worked as a bank teller in Kansas City, Kansas and locally for Empire National Bank and Members Credit Union.
Karen loved reading and watching television with her husband, John.
Karen is survived by husband, John Horner; they were married on May 27, 1978 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; mother, Estella E. Struble; siblings, Linda (Greg) Smith of Interlochen, Brenda (William) Fagerman of Cadillac, Charles Donald Jr. (Tanya) Struble of Interlochen and Terry Struble of Melbourne Beach, FL and nieces and nephews.
