Juzefa Pivoriunas

Juzefa Pivoriunas, age 93, passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at Ridgewood Care Center. She was born in Lithuania, January 23, 1922, daughter of the late Pranas and Antanina (Nee: Onusaitis) Pleckaitis.

In 1955 Juzefa was united in marriage to Antanas Pivoriunas who preceded her in death. She was employed for many years at Mamco. She was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church and prior member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and choir. Juzefa enjoyed shopping but will be fondly remembered for her love of gardening and her glorious bed of flowers planted each spring.

She will be dearly missed by her sisters, Bernice Nekrosius of Racine, Eugenija Satkunas of VA; special nieces and nephews, Victoria Jinkins of FL, Kristina Satkunas of VA, Leon Satkunas of NJ, Rimas Kuliavas of Toronto, Liudas Kuliavas of IL, Edis Kuliavas of VA; numerous great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Irena; brothers, Joe Pleckaitis, Vitas Pleckaitis, Jonas Pleckaitis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 9, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at St. Richard Catholic Church, 1503 Grand Avenue, with Rev. Ron Gramza officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:00 A.M. A private interment will be held.
