Julie Rischar

Julie Ryan Rischar died peacefully in Ojai, California on Wednesday morning, April 6, 2022 surrounded by her children. Julie was the daughter of Edward J. and Mureen (Wendel) Ryan of Kalamazoo. In August of 1963 she married Ernest Rischar whom she met at college, and together they raised three children in California. "Ernie" predeceased her in 2016. Julie was a graduate of St. Augustine High School, class of 1959, and Marquette University, where she earned her degree in Journalism. Surviving are her three children, Wendy (Herman) Bond of Orinda, California, Curt Rischar (Nguyet) of Ojai, California and Rachael Rischar (Ed Dyer) of Portland, Oregon, four granddaughters and sister Jeanine Dow and brother William Ryan, both of Kalamazoo.
