Julia C. Arents

Julia C. Arents, age 94, passed away on Thursday December 21, 2017 at Ascension All Saints Hospital. Julia was born in Racine on April 2, 1923, daughter of the late Charles and Mary Gerve.

On October 11, 1952, she was united in marriage to LeRoy “Big Red” Arents, who preceded her in death on January 25, 1999. In her spare time, Julia enjoyed her time golfing in the Shoop Park Women’s golf league, bowling in the Senior Swingers bowling league, sewing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she loved and cherished.

Julia will be dearly missed by her children, Doug (Marcia) Arents of Brookfield, Lisa (Michael) Koenen of Racine, daughter-in-law Kathy Arents; grandchildren Chad, Tim, Jennifer, Jerica and Brandon Arents (fiancée, Glenna Augborne), Max (Julia) Koenen, Reid, and Riley Koenen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Julia was also preceded in death by her son, Mitchell, brother, Charles and four sisters, Ella, Mamie, Claire and Anne.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Ave, Friday December 29, 2017, 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. Memorials to Frontida Assisted Living Communities have been suggested.
