Judith "Judy" Pettit

Judith (Judy) Elizabeth Pettit died in her home on June 21, 2018 in Otsego, MI due to respiratory complications. She was 53.

Judy Pettit was born on September 6th 1964, in Plainwell, MI to her parents, Ina and Willard Domaska. She attended Plainwell Highschool. She remained great friends with her first husband Ross Brigance even after separating in 1994. Judy worked several jobs throughout the Plainwell/Otsego area earning management positions at Mancino’s and Salvation Army. She was introduced to her 2nd husband John Pettit through a mutual friend in 2003. The two became best friends, married in January 2004 and cherished each other until she passed.

Judy loved to laugh and enjoyed cooking family meals for holidays. She would come alive in a truly remarkable way around her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her husband John, whether they attended concerts and dinners together or just hung out at home.

Judy Pettit is survived by her husband John Pettit, daughter Jennifer Hoyt of Otsego, Michigan and her Son and Daughter in Law Vincent and Susan Brigance of Portage, Michigan; her Daughter in Law and Son in Law Sarah and Jacob Zadny of Indianapolis, Indiana, and her Son in Law and Daughter in Law John and Tracy Pettit and 10 grandchildren.

A memorial ceremony will be held at 6PM on 6/25/2018 to celebrate Judy Pettit’s life at the South Side Nazarene Church.
