Judith Dolnick

(nee Flom) Of Middleton, WI. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland. Longtime resident of Milwaukee, and more recently of Appleton and Middleton. Passed away April 20, 2017, age 65. Beloved wife of Stuart Dolnick. Cherished mother of Mindy Dolnick (Jason) Tureau and Rachel Dolnick. Daughter of the late Max and the late Mitzi Flom and daughter-in-law of Seymour (the late Eve “Bunny”) Dolnick. Loving sister of Jack (Cindy Brady) Flom. Dear sister-in-law of Deborah (Richard) Alpert and Jed (Ellen) Dolnick. Fond aunt of Eron (Elaine) Laber, Hannah Sattler, Mara (Matt) Kleiman, Ben (Erin) Dolnick, David Dolnick, James (Casey) Flom, and Martha (Morgan) Flynn. Further survived by other relatives and many dear friends.

The family wishes to express its deepest thanks to Dr. Williams and Dr. Hall and the amazing staff on unit B6-6 and in the clinics of UW Hospital; to Gilda’s Club, whose support groups and other resources have helped each of us during the past year; and to Agrace Hospice and Palliative Care, which, through their oversight and advice, allowed Judy to have her last days at home, in the care of her husband and children.

Judy was a teacher at University School of Milwaukee, where she taught middle school English and drama, and directed plays and musicals for eighteen years. In Appleton, she worked for several years as a community educator for the Sexual Assault Crisis Center. She loved both jobs and was pleased that she was able to contribute something of value to the lives of many hundreds of children. Those who knew her will remember her sense of humor, wit, generosity, and compassion.

Funeral Services 1:00 P.M. at the Suminski / Weiss Funeral Home, 1901 N. Farwell Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53202 on Sunday April 23, 2017. Interment to follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Carbone Cancer Center, 600 Highland Ave., Madison, WI 53792 or Gilda’s Club, 7907 UW Health Court, Middleton, WI 53562 would be appreciated.
