Juanita Payne

Passed away Sunday morning, July 1, 2018. Juanita was born November 19, 1934, in Monroe, MI to the late Curtis and Amanda "Mae" (Monday) Dise. She was united in marriage to Raymond Payne, who preceded her in death in January of 1987. After marriage they moved to Kalamazoo where they raised their 2 daughters. Juanita worked in the retail industry spending many of those years with Gerbers Army Surplus. She also enjoyed musical movies, reading, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Juanita is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Tom) Izenbaard and Robin (Terry) Lee; 4 grandchildren, Joanna (Travis) Olsen, Kimberly (Paul) Valentin, Amanda and Andrew Izenbaard; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Clayton (Karol) Dise, Donald and John Dise; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister; and special companion, John Polis. Services will be held 2 o'clock Friday, July 6th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Entombment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park South. Memorials may be directed to SPCA of S.W. Michigan or to Disabled Veterans of America.
