Joshua Maurer

Joshua Milton Maurer, age 34, of Kalamazoo, MI born June 7th, 1982. Left this life on June 5th, 2017 in his home in Kalamazoo. Josh was known for his passion for life and love, and radiated positive energy. He leaves behind many friends in Michigan, Florida and everywhere in between that will be forever grateful for having known him. Josh loved and cherished each and every one of his friends and family and frequently shared kind and loving memories of them. Josh craved adventure, and enjoyed spending time skiing, snowboarding, skating, surfing, and dancing. He played guitar and had a deep appreciation for music. He was fearless and driven to live life to the fullest. Being a kid at heart Josh was never afraid to share mischief with any child that he might have encountered and they all loved him for it. He is survived by his father, Kit Maurer; sister, Nicole Minshall and nephew Devon and niece Paige; brother Kyle Maurer; sister Samantha Hageman and nephews Trenton and Jaxon; sister Mollie Hageman and nephews Brenden and Noah, several cousins, and his significant other, Jessica Harper. He is preceded in death by his parents, Candy and Mark Hageman. Josh embraced life and loved deeply. To honor his inspirational influence, there will be a celebration of his life, date and time to be announced. His remains will be cremated following his final Gift of Life donation.
