Frances Hewitt, age 96, of Kalamazoo (formerly of Muskegon), went to be with her Savior Jesus on March 23, 2019. Frances was born on October 15, 1922 to Stephan and Anna (Kubon) Kandalec in Rothbury, Michigan. Visit with family and friends on Wednesday, March 27 from 10:00 to 11:00 at St. Thomas More Catholic Parish Church: 421 Monroe St, Kalamazoo, MI 49006. A Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Frances’s family includes her seven children: Susan Hewitt, Mary (Michael) Corfman, Barb (Bob) Clark, Art (Amy) Hewitt, Paul Hewitt; eight grandchildren: Chris (Meliza) Leone, Trevor Leone, Eric (Nicole) Clark, Rob (Kristie Drca) Clark, Nathan (Jasmine Kline) Hewitt, Sarah Hewitt, Michael (Gabby McDuffee) Hewitt, David (Shelbie McGarvey) Hewitt; Her great grandchild, Sophia Hewitt; one brother Ed Kandalec as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and Robert; her daughter Gladys (Tony) Leone; son Thomas; her siblings: Joseph (Julia) Kandalec, Ann Kandalec, Elizabeth (Steve) Murar, Irene (Leo) Falkowski, Steve Kandalec, Andrew (Irene) Kandalec, Margaret (Robert) Lutz, Marie Kandalec and Agnes (Vic) Kuharevicz.
