Life Story / Obituary

Print

On August 21, 2016, Jonah Michael Marciniak (Jump) passed away unexpectedly. Jonah was born in Racine, Wisconsin at 4:10 a.m. on July 21, 1977 to Brenda Mroch, a woman who will always inspire love and gratitude—not only because she made it possible for Jonah to walk among and with us, but because the same love and light she carries, he carried, too. Jonahs expert skills, as well as his love for people, made him a highly desired server in the restaurant business. He had been working at Bacchus-A Bartalotta Restaurant and was very proud of it.

To those who had the privilege of knowing him, Jonah was light made manifest. He was naturally attuned to a higher vibrational frequency, one that fostered an intrinsic desire to approach all living things with reverence and curiosity. Spending time with him meant that no moment or word was wasted. All that he did or spoke about was grounded in his perennial call for love and magic, both of which were always within his orbit—a constellation of laughter, dance and intoxicating light. And for those of us who came to him during our darkest hours—silent and bare and broken—Jonah did not make light of our suffering but instead chose to walk alongside us in his own brokenness, to be our “loving cracked mirror.” We all are better human beings because of him.

Surviving are his son, Izariah; his mother, Brenda (Donald) Mroch; his brother, Shane (Rachel) Marciniak; nephew, Ryker; niece, Makayla; grandmother, Marilyn Jump; aunts and uncles, Connie Cochran, Greg Jump, Kelly Craig, Linda (Jeff) Bishop, Kevin (Tina) Jump, Brian Jump; Many loving cousins, Izariah’s mother, Wendy Drennan; other relatives and dear friends.

Celebration of Jonahs life will be at Infusinos Banquet Hall, 3201 Rapids Drive, October 1, 2016. Greetings with family and friends 3:30-4:30, Reflections 4:30-5:30, Celebration to follow. Memorials to family recommended.
