John Wesseling

Age 55, died on Thursday, December 15 2016. He was born on July 12, 1961 and has been a resident of Kalamazoo his entire life. John loved to fish and fished basically anywhere he could throw a line. He thought of fishing as the most relaxing thing he could do. He liked the roll of being a grandpa and the 11 grandchildren affectionately called him Poppa. On July 12, 1993 he married Twanette Branham. John worked at Old Country Buffet at their West Main location and prior to that he worked at the Westnedge location. He was a big fan of the New England Patriots, New York Yankees, Detroit Red Wings and the Utah Jazz. Jeff Gordon was also his favorite race car driver. John had a soft spot in his heart for animals and little Chica was his girlfriend. His signature look was a pair of sunglasses on his hat. His memory and stories will go on in the hearts of those who loved and cared for him. Members of his family include his wife, Twanette; 3 children: Paul (Laura Martin) Hamilton, Randy (Tara) Hamilton and Jillian (Macho) Rodriquez- Robinson; a brother, Samuel Dole; 11 grandchildren: Ashley, Chelsea, Kevin, Kelly, Derek, Loren, Drake, Nicholas, Elija, Isabella and Sapphire.
