John Sulka

John D. Sulka passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at the age of 61. He was born in Kalamazoo to the late Jack and Dora (Otten) Sulka on October 27, 1960. John was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Graphic Packaging International as a print press operator. He enjoyed gardening, baking and was an avid U of M fan. John is survived by his sons, Christopher and Alex Sulka; step-children, Blair (Travis) Hegner, Brandon (Danielle) Gillespie, Brent (Natalie) Gillespie; siblings, Tom (Susie) Sulka, Sue Evans, Diane Sulka, Steve Sulka; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Houser, Danny (Kristina) Houser, Sarah Houser, Katelyn Sulka, Madison Sulka, Scott Sulka; one great-niece and one great- nephew; and his beloved dog, Boomer. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mike Sulka; and step-daughter, Brooke Gillespie. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 28, 2022, at 11:30 am at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services 622 S. Burdick St. Kalamazoo, MI 49007. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. Interment will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery with military honors following the service.
