John M. Morrow

John Michael Morrow, age 67, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Froedtert Memorial Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. John was born in Racine, July 28, 1949, son of Marvin and Dorothy (Nee: Lamb) Morrow.

John graduated from Wm. Horlick High School, “Class of 1967” and went on to proudly serve in the U.S. Army stationed in Vietnam from 1969-1970. On February 1, 1984, he was united in marriage to Blanca E. Villarreal. John was employed by Western Publishing for 27 years, retiring in 2001. John enjoyed motorcycling, taking walks, John Wayne movies, “driving his wife nuts”, acting as Blanca’s private dishwasher while she was baking, and spending time with family and friends socializing. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving is his wife of 32 years, Blanca; daughter, Rosemarie (Timothy) Divan, 4 grandchildren, Andy Bosworth, April Bosworth, Jasmine Trevino, Jerimiah Gonzales; 6 great grandchildren; his mother, Dorothy Morrow; sister, Becky Dunham; nephews, Mike Dunham (Holly Smith), Mark Dunham; great nephew, Max Dunham; longtime friends, Kermit and Daryl Barker; other relatives and dear friends. John was preceded in death by his father Marvin and daughter Blanca Gonzales;

Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services with full military honors Friday, January 6, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Reverend Mark Doidge will officiate.

Memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project have been suggested.
