Age 85, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017. John was born in Kalamazoo on June 10, 1932; the son of the late Laurel P. and Belle (Weaver) Herson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Carol J. (Youngs) Herson; his second wife, Audrey (Hemminger) Herson; son, David (Cathy) Herson; daughter in-law, Susan Herson; brother, Paul Herson and sister, Dorothy Milham. John is survived by his children, Stephen (Debbie) Herson, Mark Herson and Nannette Davis; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A visitation will take place at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Private interment will be held at Portage South Cemetery.
