John "Jack" Beaman, Jr.

John (Jack), Beaman 4/23/1933 - 6/28/2018 Sun City West, AZ John (Jack) A. Beaman Jr., 85, of Sun City West, Arizona passed away on June 28, 2018 in Phoenix Arizona after a 2-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Jack was born April 23, 1933 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the son of Cuba and John A. Beaman Sr. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School and served in the US Army. On April 13, 1955, Jack married the former Ida M. Ameling and they made their home and raised their family in Benton Harbor Michigan. Later, they moved to Vicksburg, Michigan. Ida unexpectedly preceded him in death on October 11, 2005. On April 25, 2016 Jack married Liz Parker and they made their home in Sun City West, AZ. Jack was employed for many years at the Benton Harbor Post Office and later at the Scotts Post Office in Scotts, MI. Jack enjoyed gardening and watching sports especially those of his children and grandchildren. Jack is survived by his wife Liz Parker, Brother Robert (Sandy) Beaman, sons Dennis (Diane) Beaman, David (Judy) Beaman, 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, and wife Ida, he was preceded in death by his sister Darlene Johnson. A graveside memorial service is planned for September 14, 2018 at Vicksburg Cemetery in Vicksburg, MI at 10:30 a.m. A luncheon is planned at noon, after the service, at Creekside Grill at Angel's Crossing Golf Club in Vicksburg.
