John DeGraaf, of Walker, 88, went peacefully home into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Monday,

February 29, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Johanna DeGraaf; sister, Helen

Westveer. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Arloa Degraaf; his sons, Mike (Janice) DeGraaf,

Dave (Karen), Mark (Laura), Steve (Brooke); brothers, Fred (Pat) DeGraaf, Mike (Lois) DeGraaf, Paul

(Therese) DeGraaf; sisters, Doris Krapp, JoAnn Bremer, Marion Darby, Evelyn (Wallace) Versluis; 10

grandchildren and 20 greatā€grandchildren. John was involved with the Crossroads Ministry for many

years, member of Walker URC where he was a Sunday School teacher, and an Elder of the Church. He

loved doing Mission work for the church. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 3, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home

- 2120 Lake Michigan Dr. NW. Funeral service will be Friday, March 4, 11:00AM with visitation one hour

prior to service at Walker URC, 1985 Randall, Grand Rapids 49534. In lieu of flowers, Donations can be

made to Crossroad Ministries or Divine Hope Seminary.
