John Brower

Brower, John Anton John Anton Brower was born June 10, 1939 in Brazzaville, Belgian Congo one of five children born to Angus and Emma (Anderson) Brower, both of whom precede him in passing. Also preceding him in passing was a brother, Paul Brower. John passed away at home on Wednesday, January 25, 2017.The family will welcome friends from 3 to 4 P.M. on Monday, January 30, 2017 at the Calvin Funeral Home, Hartford. At 4 P.M., a memorial celebration of John's life will take place with Pastor David Brower officiating. Memorial condolences for the family can be left on our website at www.calvin-leonardfh.com.On August 3, 1963, John was united in marriage to Sheron Seron and she survives along with two sons; Paul (Miyuki) Brower of Powell, Ohio and Kirk (Gini) Brower of Arvada, Colorado. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Shin Brower, Ken Brower, Patrick Brower, Mary Kate Brower and Andrew Brower, a brother; David (Clara) Brower of Zeeland and two sisters; Mary (Larry) Elgersma of Plainwell and Ruth Rutherford of Niles. John retired from Georgia-Pacific Paper Company after many years of faithful employment. In his spare time, John loved reading, bird watching, scuba diving, backpacking, jogging and especially playing bridge at the senior center in Saint Joe.
