Joan Culp

Culp, Joan Arlene Joan Arlene Culp (Williams), 82, of Galesburg passed away March 27, 2019 at Rose Arbor Hospice. She was born July 2, 1936, the daughter of the late Reed and Maxine (Lantz) Williams. Joan was a graduate of Vicksburg High School. She worked with the Upjohn Company for 40 years in research until her retirement in 1994. She was a longtime and active member of Kalamazoo First Assembly of God Church, where she served as a greeter and taught Sunday school for years. She also volunteered her time with Borgess Hospital. She was united in marriage to Gareth Culp on June 27, 1959, who preceded her in death after 50 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jack Williams, and sisters, Joyce Ballinger and Janice Keegstra. Joan is survived by her sisters, Carol (Thomas) Sackett of Watervliet, Jean (Chris) Ayres of Kalamazoo, and June (Ralph) Knapp of Delton, as well as several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Tuesday, April 2 from 5-8:00PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. A funeral service will take place Wednesday, April 3 at 2:00PM at Kalamazoo First Assembly of God Church, 5550 Oakland Drive, Portage, MI 49024. Private interment will take place in Mt.
