Joan Bartow

Joan Bartow, age 93, of Kalamazoo, MI. Our Mom, Grandmother and Friend would like you to know her work here is done. She left on Monday, December 12, 2016, surrounded by her family and friends. Joan was born on August 8, 1923, the daughter of the late Rufus and Lillien Samples. She was married to Joseph Bartow, who preceded her in death on March 10, 1988. She is survived by her daughters, Zona (Gary) Winter and April (James) Hill; grandchildren, Joseph, Diana (Mike), Mary Lou (Brian), Mark, Jo Beth (Josh), Jimmy, Faith and Arizona; great-grandchildren, Frank (Ashli), Heather (Derrick), Lauren (Jeff), Matthew, Mike (Britney), Mark, Harmoney (Mike), Brianna and Jack; two great-great-grandchildren, Joey Bartow and Colton Stears; and many nieces and nephews. Dear friend of the family Susie Ezell her long time caregiver. She was preceded in death by her son, Frank Bartow; and four sisters & one brother. Friends may celebrate her life from 12 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. The service will follow at 1 p.m., officiate by Pastor Timothy Ezell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, Montana 59004.
