Jesse DeJose Rendon, age 80 of Gobles, MI peacefully departed from us to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at Rose Arbor in Kalamazoo, MI. Jesse, the son of Consuelo and Rosalio (Charlie) Rendon, was born in Dallas, TX on October 16th, 1935, and was a graduate of Mount Clemens High School in 1955. He served in the Army for three years before marrying the love of his life, Eva (Sandlin), on March 19th, 1960 in St. Clair Shores, MI. Jesse and Eva lived in the Detroit area with their five children, where he learned his craft of machining, before moving to Gobles, MI in 1979. Upon arriving in Gobles, he started Rendon & Sons Machining, forging relationships with both customers and his employees that he cherished deeply. Jesse loved spending time with his family, and watching his Detroit sports teams, through the good times and the bad. He enjoyed reading his newspaper and also learning new technology, becoming quite skilled at using his computer to listen to old music and research his stocks. Even in retirement, his passion for work still had him a regular presence at Rendon & Sons, where his decades of knowledge and experience served as a guiding hand. Most of all, he loved being near his wife, knowing how blessed he was to be married to the "best cook in the world." Jesse was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Roberto (Bobby) Rendon and sister Phyllis Zsuede; and his grandson, Mark Delich. He is survived by his beautiful bride Eva Mae; his sisters Connie Gregson and Delia Martin; his children, Frances (Ron) Hassell, Lynn (Randy) Krusinga, Tina (Gary) Napp, Joseph Rendon, and James (Joanna) Rendon; along with all of his beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. The family will meet friends for a visitation on Saturday, July 2nd from 11am - 1pm, with the funeral service immediately following at 1pm, at the D. L. Miller Funeral Home Gobles Chapel, at 208 W. Main St. in Gobles. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Journey Family Church in Gobles.
