Jerry Nichols

Died Monday morning September 23, 2019 in Battle Creek. Jerry was born March 26, 1939 in Plainwell, Michigan a son of Daryl and Kathryn (Banks) Nichols. Years ago, he served honorably with the U.S. Navy. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of his life and was employed with Bond Supply Company for many years before retiring. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers, Robert Nichols and Larry Nichols. On August 17, 1976 he was united in marriage to Sally F. (Church) Nichols who survives. Also surviving, 3 daughters, Christine, Lori, and Janice; 4 step children, David (Jean) Cate of Nottawa, MI, Michael (Wendy) Cate of Bath, MI, Barbara (Sam) Accoroso of Oshtemo, and Robin (Tony) Hillman of Kalamazoo; many grandchildren; several great -grandchildren; a brother, Phillip (Jeannie) Nichols of Hastings, Darla (Sandy) Hagan of Lawrence; 2 sisters-in-law, Sandy and Rose Nichols both of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews. Private services and burial will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Laurels of Bedford or to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
