Died Monday evening, December 17, 2018. Jerrold was born April 16, 1941 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, son of Cornelius and Rose (Brown) Perrin. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident. He was first employed by Stafford-Smith Refrigeration for 22 years and was a self-employed farmer for over 50 years. Jerrold was also a member of the South Haven Elks and Moose Lodges and the Climax American Legion. Jerrold was especially proud of the Pasture Golf Charity, that he co-founded in 2003, supporting the Climax-Scotts area. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Frank Perrin; a sister-in-law, Sherry Perrin; and 2 nephews, Mark and Scott Perrin in November of 1972. On September 3, 1976, he was united in marriage to Bonna M. (Acker) Perrin who survives. Also surviving, 5 sons, Robb (Dana) Perrin of Scotts, Jon (Jennifer Hess) Perrin of Scotts, Todd (Margie) Perrin of Kalamazoo, Sean (Darla) Perrin of Scotts, and Jeff (Susan) Sweet of Lowell, MI; 13 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Rose Marie Coy of Kalamazoo, Karen (David) Lauren of Reed Springs, MO; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Memorial Mass will be offered 11 o'clock Saturday, December 22nd at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 5855 East W. Ave. Vicksburg. Private burial will take place at a later date. Friends may join the family for a time of fellowship at the Rob Perrin residence, 12265 East S. Ave., Scotts, immediately following services. Memorials may be directed to the Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy in honor of Jared Sweet (Jerrold's Grandson) at www.parentprojectmd.org.
