Jerreen (Jeri Dott) Langley died peacefully after battling a lengthy illness. She was born 6/1/1927 to Joseph and Cleo (McCarty)Walsh in Kalamazoo MI. She would spend her life in the Kalamazoo/Portage area raising her 3 children and serving the Lord. Jeri worked at Peter Eckrich and Sons(Swift-Eckrich) for 46 years. She enjoyed sports, belonging to numerous bowling and golf leagues. She was a devoted member of the Kalamazoo Missionary Church for over 60 years.Seldom found at home she taught Sunday School, organized activities, and could always be found assisting in the kitchen. This was her second family. She was preceded in death by her parents, 7 siblings, an ex-husband L.D. Langley and most recently her son Larry. She is survived by her 2 remaining children, Cathy(David) Shields and Gregg Langley of Kalamazoo/Portage area. Her grand daughters, Amy(Steve)Sterling of Moulton AL. Heather Clark of Kalamazoo and Jennifer(Ben)Hyrns of Otsego. She was a great grand mother to 5 great grand children and 2 great great grandchildren. She was "Granny" to so many others including Sally Doonan and the Lindsey Shields family. She shared too many friendships to acknowledge. Ruth Smith-Osterhouse and Jerreen shared a special bond that spanned over 50 years and could only be broken by her death. Funeral Services will take place Thursday September 20, 2018 at the Kalamazoo Missionary Church 5045 East Michigan Kalamazoo MI. Visitation will be held at 10 am with Funeral at 11. Pastor Ken Smeader officiating. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to the Kalamazoo Missionary Church Senior Ladies Fund.
