Upon her retirement she continued to volunteer in Kalamazoo, tutoring elementary students. Jerilyn is survived by her sister, Nancy (David) Vliek of Decatur; beloved nephews, Brian (Alaina) Vliek of South Bend and Adam (Heather) Vliek of Paw Paw. Also surviving are her five special grand-nephews and nieces, Nolan, Oliver, Emma, Katelyn and Audrey; several cousins and one aunt, Phyllis Stephenson in California.
