Jeannette E. Braun, age 63, was born into eternal life on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Ascension All Saints Medical Center. She was born in Racine, March 24, 1954, daughter of the late Raymond and Anita (Nee: Janes) Hauschel and was a lifelong resident of Racine.

She graduated from William Horlick High School “Class of 1973”. On April 12, 1975, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, she was united in marriage to Joseph P. Braun. For many years she was employed by O & H Danish Bakery.

Jeannette was a sweet soul who was loved by all. She cherished every second of her time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was on top of the world when attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events and rarely missed a practice or a game. Jeannette was a “night owl” and enjoyed her time watching Lifetime movies and Leave it to Beaver. She had a great love for animals, especially her cats. Jeannette loved football, especially the Green Bay Packers and the youth Horlick Rebel teams. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband, the love of her life, Joseph; her children, Paul Braun (Gina Phillips), Lisa Fiorita (fiancé, Jesse Booker); her grandchildren, Rocco & Nico Fiorita and Riley & Reece Booker; brother, Raymond (Barbara) Hauschel; sisters, Claudia (Jim) Miller, Christine Hauschel; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John (MaryJane) Braun, George (Mary) Baumgardt, Dave (Paula) Braun; her beloved cats, Lazurus and Lebron; special friend, Julie Arndt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Mark Hirschey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 9, 2018, 11:00 A.M. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Avenue, with Rev. Jim Paridis officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and Tuesday at the church from 10:30 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:00 A.M. Memorials to St. Rita Catholic School have been suggested.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Racine Fire Department Station 3, Ascension Emergency and ICU for their loving and compassionate care.
