Jayanne Hughes Barrett

Jayanne Hughes Barrett 83 of Brandon , Mississippi formerly of Mattawan, Michigan passed away Friday June 14, 2019 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, Mississippi. She was born July 13, 1935 to the late Claire and Charline Hughes in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Jayanne was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Jayanne is preceded in death by her parents and her only brother Bob Hughes; husband Robert Michael Barrett and her only grandson, Michael Justin Steele. She is survived by her daughter Colleen Barrett Steele (Mike) of Brandon, Mississippi; Craig Barrett of Brandon, Mississippi and Chris Barrett (Patti) of Carson City, Nevada; a sister Jane Lovat (Lou) of Green Valley, Arizona; granddaughter, Amber Steele Sistrunk ( Andrew) of Brandon, Mississippi and three beautiful great-grandchildren, Leah Elizabeth, Logan Lee and Collin James all of Brandon .

A memorial service will be held at a later date .
