Janet Roberts

Janet E. Roberts, age 81, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Thursday morning, June 1, 2017. Janet was born May 8, 1936 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of the late Levi and Emma (Jensen) Strong. She was a member of Hope Reformed Church and spent several years working at Wendy's where she was known as the "Mint Lady". Janet loved spending time attending and cheering for her grandchildren at their various sporting activities. She also enjoyed spending time knitting. On October 6, 1956 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Glenn Roberts, who preceded her in death on December 25, 2010. Janet was also preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Lee Roberts. Surviving are her children, Jerry Roberts, David (Carol) Roberts, Deb (Jerry) Havenaar, Diane (Gordon) Henderson; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, June 6 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. Friends may meet the family from 10:00-11:00 prior to the service. Private interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Hope Reformed Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
