Janet Elise (MacGrayne) Camery went to be with her Lord April 2, 2015. She was born in Kalamazoo, MI on May 26, 1926 to Daly C. and Mina (Weber) MacGrayne. She graduated in 1944 from Kalamazoo Central High School. She went on to graduate from the Bronson School of Nursing and Western Michigan University. She made several lifelong friends while attending nursing school. Janet devoted her life to the nursing profession, living first in Minneapolis, Minnesota and then Edinburg, Texas. Janet spent her final years back home in Kalamazoo near her family.

Janet was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Edinburg, TX and volunteered in many capacities. She sang in the choir, played hand bells, and brought many dozen homemade cookies to different church events.

In her retirement, Janet enjoyed serving others by volunteering at the Edinburg Hospital, and at the Humane Society in Edinburg. She was a docent at the Museum of Texas History. Playing golf, feeding birds, baking and walking her dogs were some of her favorite hobbies.

She is survived by her brother, Paul (Bonnie) MacGrayne of Portage, MI, nieces Meg (Jim) Wilt, Judy (Chris) White, Pam (John) Pula, Janet (Marion) Rich, nephews Mike (Lisa), Paul (Candi) and David (Kayan) MacGrayne, plus many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, and recently her brother Daly L. MacGrayne.

Janet was cremated and a memorial service will be held at the Pathfinder Church, 8740 S. Westnedge Ave, Portage, MI 49002, on Sunday, June 14, 2015.
