James C. Troutman, age 89, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Saturday morning, January 30, 2016 at his home. He was born on September 3, 1926 in Oneida, TN, the son of Carl and Ollie (Sharp) Troutman. Jim was a World War II veteran of the United States Army serving as a paratrooper in the 283rd Division with 39 jumps. He was employed by Sutherland Paper Co. for 24 years and then Triple S Plastics until his retirement. Jim made many friends at Triple S, including Bill, Dave Phil and the late Jack Stewart. He was a member of Comstock VFW Post #6252 and devoted member of Temple Baptist Church. Surviving are his daughter, Cecil Gail (Jesus) Paqueno; two grandchildren, Alisa Burlew and Jesse Pequeno; two step-grandchildren, Angela Gleason and Andrea Pequeno; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, David and Hoy Troutman and four sisters, Margaret Lemon, Vivian Lovely, Dolores Boothe and Betty Hess; and special friend, Pell Gale. There will be no public visitation or service. Private interment was held in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park. Arrangements were entrusted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes.
