James Moomey, 71 of Holland, born Oct. 7, 1944 to Albert (Jack) and Elizabeth Moomey lost his long courageous battle with cancer on December 17, 2015.
Jim was an army veteran and served his time in Germany. He worked in management at Sears for 37 years and was a West Ottawa school bus driver for 39 years.
Preceding him in death were his parents, sister and brother-in-law, Jacqueline (Frank) Wierenga, parents-in-law, Jerald (Mose) and Jacquelyn Gebben, brother-in-law, Michael Gebben and nephew Zachary Gebben
.Jim is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Robin, daughter, Stacey (Bob) Lamb, 2 grandchildren, Trent Lamb and Nya Lamb, sisters; Beverly (Wayne) Vander Yacht , Dolores (Dee) Wingard, all of Holland, sister-in-law, Carol Gebben of Jenison and nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held Monday 5-8 at the Northwood Chapel, Dykstra Funeral Homes, 295 Douglas Ave, Holland.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
