James M. Gieck

James Michael Gieck, age 50, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. Jim was born in Prairie du Sac, WI, February 27, 1965, son of the late Clarence and Marjorie (Nee: Wardlow) Gieck.

Jim attended Wm. Horlick High School and served in the U.S. Army and National Guard. He had worked at Promotions Unlimited and Racine Danish Kringle. Jim loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He will be fondly remembered as a fun loving prankster who treasured time spent with his family. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his loving companion, Glenda Norton; daughter, Cheyenne Gieck; siblings, Dennis (Carolyn) Gieck, Millie Burnett, Norma Benton, Jeannie (Jack) Carlson, Debra (Arturo) Aguilla, Laurie Guerra; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Michael Gieck Jr., brother, Clarence, sister, Lois, brothers-in-law, Jay Benton, and John Burnett.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2 P.M. Memorials to the family have been suggested.
