James Logan Prince, age 91, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. He was born in Okeechobee, FL, August 28, 1924, son of the late James and Joanna (nee: Hilton) Prince.

James proudly served in the U.S. Airforce for 20 years. During WWII he was stationed in the European Theatre of War. On February 11, 1948 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Isabelle Gomez. James was a member of St. Lucy’s Catholic Church. In his retirement he ran Prince’s Antiques for 17 years. He enjoyed fishing with kids, rummaging and going to estate sales. Above all he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his wife of 68 years, Isabel; 4 children, Frank (Peggy) Prince, Robert (Rebecca) Prince, Dolores Prince, and Paul Prince (Betty Lee Nagrodess); 2 grandchildren, Robert J. Prince Jr. (Tanya Wilkerson), Richard (Talia) Prince; 4 great grandchildren, BJ, Devon, Baron, and Shiloh; in-laws, Joe and Betty Gomez, Elaine Kercher; dear friends, Israel and Tammy Rodriguez; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Steve; 2 sisters, Lois and Ruth; and a brother, Charlie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 16, 2016, 10:30 A.M. at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Avenue., with Reverend Ronald Gramza officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet Monday at the funeral home 5-7 P.M. and on Tuesday at the church 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass. Memorials to St. Lucy’s Catholic Church for Masses have been suggested.
