James John "Banjo" Manion, 83, of Kalamazoo passed away on July 23, 2019 at his home. He was born on May 3rd, 1936 in, Kalamazoo, the son of the late Thomas & Rose Manion. On September 8th, 1961, he married Vivian Marie (Hotrum) Manion, who survives him. Together, they shared years and years of memories. Jim worked as a tool and die maker for the majority of his life, spending most of his years with Eaton Manufacturing, retiring in 1982. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and last but not least, the 12 ounce can that went along with all of the above. Surviving are his loving wife, Vivian Manion; two children, Jimmy Manion Jr. and Teresa Manion; three grandchildren, Brittaney Manion, Baileigh Manion, Jasmine Huyck; three great- grandchildren, Ava Manion, Alexa Manion and Kylie Jade; three brothers and one sister, Larry Manion, David Manion, Ed Manion and Sandra Kay; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Sam Manion and Tom Manion. To our loving Husband, Father, Grandpa, Grampa- Grampa, Brother, and Golfing/Fishing/Hunting/Drinking Buddy, we love you more than words could ever express, and will miss you beyond belief.
